Welcome to my webpage! I am a Principal Economist in the Financial Institution Risk Evaluation Section in the Division of Financial Stability of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. Prior to joining the Board of Governors I was an Assistant Professor in the Economics Department of the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, and before I was a Research Economist in the Research Department of the Central Bank of Portugal.
My research interests are fairly broad and they include International Finance, Banking, Monetary Policy, Productivity and Growth, Banking, and Applied Econometrics. For more details see the "Research" tab on my webpage.
